Barça Set to Play Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barcelona have announced they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in domestic competition two and a half years after they moved out for construction to commence.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators can be present as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed finished work included a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held a public practice inside the stadium on 7 November. The club said approval is being pursued from Uefa to host the next European match facing Eintracht next month in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
